The Christmas Story :) by Penguins & Family...

I was really hoping to do a cupcake christmas story telling.... and thanks to Kher Sing & family, i had my privilege! :) Wooo hoooo!

Let me tell u the story :)

Once upon a time, in the deeep forest lives Penguin & her family. As christmas was just around the corner, the family ventured out to pick their christmas tree! When they found the perfect tree, Papa penguin started to chop the tree down...

Baby girl penguin started to roll up snowballs preparing for a battle...

With baby boy penguin who is also ready!

While Papa penguin continues the tree chopping, baby girl & baby boy penguin had a great time with their snowball battle! Mama penguin watches out for them all :)

After chopping the tree down, Papa & Mama penguin dragged their newly chopped xmas tree home while baby boy and baby girl penguin follows on behind.

Cheeky baby boy penguin still wants to play on while baby girl penguin tries to help her parents to carry their new tree!

Back at home, the christmas tree excitement continues! Mama penguin brought out all their ornaments and the tree decorating begins! Baby boy penguin is so excited with all the ornaments and can't help to decorate some on himself!

Mama penguin leads the decorating team deciding where to add on more ornaments and garlands!

Baby girl penguin tries her best to keep up with her mama penguin.

Finally the tree is ready and it's Christmas Day! The family sits around the xmas tree and starts to take their present...

Mama penguin gets a blue tiffany box!

Baby boy penguin is more excited about the pretty xmas tree :)

Baby girl penguin was the first to open her present and got the pink teddy she wished for!

Papa penguin feels very happy and contented. His christmas wish granted - a happy family :)

How it all began...

Last year... around June/July... i was still completely clueless what sugar paste/fondant was.. It was when my dear friend from the states, Sherene who came back for holidays... and she was asking me to look out for 'fondant' wedding cake for my other dear friend June (who's also from the states). And that was when Sherene brought me over to Borders to look at books on what fondant is all about. I was overwhelm and couldn't believe that these things are possible... 

But of course, I bought a few books... and more and more and more and i've lost count :P And then, there's the world of Flickr and google and the internet... and there's also the amazing Debbie Brown... and amazing friends i met and my amazement for fondant turned into passion and the rest is history! 

Both Sherene & June did not stop at introducing to me what fondant was... they continued to support me as I pursue to understand more about it. They bought me lots of gadgets I couldn't find around in Malaysia, sent me links, pics and gave me all the inspirations :)
