This post is also a special dedication to a very special lady.

This order is requested by my husband for his mother, my MIL :) for her birthday..

I have heard of many many horror stories about MILs but mine is far from all those stories. In fact, it's just the opposite! She's like our biggest & strongest wall of support. Always supporting even the craziest ideas; never doubting and always so proud of us.

No wonder my hubs is quite a mummy's boy! hehehe I don't blame him :P

So this 'cake' is designed to be all about her!

500th Post - Special Dedication

In conjunction with my 500th post, I'd like to make a special dedication to a very special person who has made a lot of difference in my life. She was my 'boss' turned a very good friend, mentor (which is quite an unlikely situation for most people but it is true for my case) & neighbor.

I first worked under her as a part time trainee when I was in college. I was so insignificant she has no recollection of me working under her then. Then upon graduating from university, I had the pleasure to work under her once again. This time, there is only 4 people in our department hence she have to know me!

Did we have buddy buddy friendship at work? Definitely not. It was strictly and purely business. I am always under the fire. Since I am seated directly next to her, I am always the first to be scolded - regardless if I am the problem or not.

I only worked directly under her for 1 year and 1 month but the bond we had and the amount of invaluable lessons I learnt while under her is tremendous. Enough to last me a life time. Enough to make me a better person. But since our friendship continued on.... I will continue to learn and be a better person! :)

She's supported me so much especially with love-a-cupcake. She constantly challenges me to do the impossible. Pushes me to have 'processes' and proper work flow. She will never let me forget how 'pretty' my figurines were when I first started and how the heads and hands will fall off :P

To simplify it all...

I'm truly blessed to have her in my life and I'm so glad our paths crossed.

A special dedication for.... Grandpa Smurfs!

This one is very special. It's made for my ex-boss... Not a direct boss but one level up! He is really like a 'grandpa' to me but he's taught me so much. I'd have to say that so far... he's one of the boss/manager I respect the most!

Despite being in such a high level position, he's always able to keep calm and composed in the craziest situation. And the best thing about him is, how much he always believes in not just his staff but everyone.

He can somehow find positive things to encourage one to grow and be a better person. He's definitely impacted MY life in many positive ways. So much so sometimes, I become 'quite' dependent on his opinion. But not only I am dependent on him... He is quite an important man to our state & country as well! Too many people have been dependent on him...

So finally, it's time for him to 'retire' - again... [i think this is the 2nd farewell/retirement party we're doing for him] And since we often call him grandpa/gong gong... we thought this would be the perfect resemblance for him - grandpa smurfs!

Oh & it was his birthday also...

YOON, thanks for everything.... Thanks for believing in me 'most' of the time. You may not realize this but you really have impacted my life in many ways [more good than bad]

Hope u are 'retired' and doing what u enjoy!

ps: it's still quite hard to make appointment for lunch with YOU!
